Italian winery and distillery Bottega says its ready-to-drink Lemon Spritz cocktail is gaining traction with airlines, as more carriers introduce the single-serve drink as part of their onboard beverage offering.
The family-owned producer, which has more than four centuries of winemaking and distilling heritage, distributes its products in 165 countries and says Lemon Spritz has become one of its most successful ready-to-drink products amid growing demand for premium canned cocktails.
Available in 20cl bottles and 25cl cans, the low-alcohol cocktail combines sparkling wine, Bottega Limoncino (Northern Italy’s version of Limoncello) and mint, offering what the company describes as a fresh Mediterranean alternative to the traditional Spritz.
Bottega said the smaller formats have proved particularly popular thanks to their portability and suitability for onboard service, with several international airlines now stocking either the bottled or canned version for passengers.
