Air India has unveiled a new collection of amenity kits and loungewear for international First, Business and Premium Economy passengers, combining traditional Indian craftsmanship with wellness-led touches and products from Forest Essentials.
Available from October 2026 on flights exceeding eight hours and overnight services above six hours, the collection has been created in collaboration with Indian luxury Ayurvedic skincare brand Forest Essentials. Both First and Business Class amenity kits feature a curated selection of skincare and fragrance products, alongside a handcrafted Ayurvedic Marma massager – which the airline claims to be a first for an airline amenity kit.
For First Class passengers, the new Art of Flight collection takes inspiration from Gond art, with exclusive designs created for the airline by acclaimed artist Dwarka Paraste. Featuring motifs inspired by nature, movement and discovery, the kits are available in two colourways: Ivory Cream for flights departing India and Antique White for inbound journeys. Both the artwork and colour palette will be refreshed every six months.
The kits contain a selection of Forest Essentials products, including SPF 30 day lotion, facial tonic mist, lip cream, body milk and fragrance, presented in a satin pouch. Additional essentials include socks, an eye mask, ear plugs and a dental kit, alongside a story card explaining the artwork.
Business Class passengers will receive kits from the Navratna Collection, inspired by the nine gems of Indian tradition. The collection uses nine distinctive colours, with Coral offered on outbound flights and Ruby on inbound services. Presented in a premium PU leather bag featuring Air India’s signature Jharoka shape, the kits contain Forest Essentials lip cream, body milk and fragrance, as well as the usual travel essentials.
A distinctive feature across both premium cabins is the inclusion of a handcrafted Marma massager made from 100% natural wood. Inspired by the Ayurvedic practice of stimulating Marma points to promote relaxation and wellbeing, the accessory is accompanied by a story card introducing passengers to the tradition.
Premium Economy passengers will also receive refreshed amenities, with a reusable Air India-branded bag containing hand cream and lip balm from The Indian Apothecary, socks and an eye mask.
The new collection extends beyond amenity kits, with Air India also introducing redesigned loungewear for First and Business Class. Inspired by the traditional Kullu shawl-weaving craft of Himachal Pradesh, the gender-neutral collection incorporates the textile’s geometric motifs through subtle woven detailing on a contemporary Henley-style top and matching bottoms.
The sets are available in four sizes, including a newly introduced XXL, and come in a bespoke carry bag with a story card highlighting the craftsmanship behind the design.
Air India has also changed its slippers from grey to beige to complement the new loungewear palette.
Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience officer at Air India, said: “At Air India, every element of the journey is an opportunity to make our guests feel cared for, comfortable and connected to the warmth of India. Our new amenity kits and loungewear have been thoughtfully designed to go beyond functionality, weaving together India’s rich traditions of art, craftsmanship and wellness with the expectations of the modern global traveller.”
The launch forms part of Air India’s wider efforts to reshape its premium passenger experience, including a recent introduction of new meal service.
