Eco-focused Bamboovement is on a mission to stop there being more plastic than fish in our oceans by 2050 by pushing the replacement of disposable, daily-used plastic products with sustainable alternatives.
Top of their hit list are toothbrushes, disposable razors and toothpaste tubes and they are showcasing alternatives on their WTCE stand.
After two years of product development and newest to the range is the The Bamboovement one-of-a-kind disposable razor for a similar price as plastic razors. Fully plastic-free and carbon-neutral, it is made from a biocomposite material created from the waste products of the Swedish wood industry. The razor is carbon-neutral through supporting tree-planting projects.
The bamboo toothbrush is carbon-neutral and has bristles made from nylon 1012, derived from castor oil (from the castor plant) and thus plant-based. All bamboo products are FSC-certified to guarantee sustainable forestry.
To address the toothpaste tube issue, the business offers toothpaste tablets before. They come in a sachet with two or four tablets. Simply chew and they start to foam like regular toothpaste – without the waste.
