Trolley jackets cut the need for dry ice

EAInflight LLC has developed what it says is a practical, eco-friendly alternative to using dry ice to keep trolleys cool. The solutions are being showcased during the IFSA Global EXPO 2026 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

The company’s scalable thermal technology now includes oven rack covers and plus trolley jackets.

Formerly known as Egret Aviation Americas, EAInflight LLC has been supplying airlines in North and South America, MROs and aviation businesses with galley equipment for more than five years.

With rising temperatures on the tarmac, extended catering transition times and growing demands for carbon reduction, the need for sustainable cooling solutions has never been more critical.

Traditional dry ice relies on high-emission processes and recurring costs.

EAInflight’s thermal cool bags are  designed to maintain optimal beverage temperatures during inflight service for hours without dry ice

Based on direct operator feedback, oven rack covers and trolley jackets have been added tp the range.

They are engineered to protect food and beverage integrity during the three-hour transfer window from catering kitchens to the aircraft.

Inexpensive, fully reusable and easily managed by catering teams, EAInflight LLC’s thermal control solutions eliminate dry ice dependency, cut operational downtime and deliver carbon savings.

Ben Hume Director Strategic Operations, said: “Our team has a strong interest in continuing to develop a product range specifically for the airline catering industry. As inflight dining continues to evolve, the demand for premium seating and catering are growing rapidly. Naturally, the food should always be presented at its best. These products are not rocket-science, they are simply a low cost, practical, common-sense solution.”
