Singapore Airlines has unveiled its Christmas offering with a new seasonal menu, festive inflight entertainment and duty-free gifts.
The airline is expected to carry up to 63,290 passengers from the UK throughout the festive period. Singapore, Sydney and Bali are among the top destinations, with December 22 set to be the busiest day for long-haul Christmas travel.
The seasonal menu will include Ostera caviar and slow-cooked lamb in First class; smoked salmon and braised pork belly in Business class; slow-braised beef and roast chicken in Premium Economy and Economy. Salcombe Dairy ‘Christmas Pudding’ ice-cream and TWG red Christmas tea will also be available for a limited time.
Guests on flights to London will be treated to traditional Christmas turkey will all the trimmings.
Passengers are expected to drink 2,250 glasses of champagne aloft during the Christmas week. Mulled wine, mine pies and Christmas dinner will be available to frequent flyers in the SilverKris Lounge in Heathrow Terminal 2, from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day.
A host of festive films, songs and TV shows will be available on the airline’s inflight entertainment system KrisWorld, including Home Alone, Frozen II and Elf.
Travellers can also find yuletide gifts online at Krisshop.com, including a ‘Christmas Pudding’ festive folly toy; a Fortnum & Mason afternoon tea blend with a tin and a Veuve Clicquot ‘Yellow Label’ Brut Champagne.
