TAP Air Portugal has introduced a new signature menu crafted by six ‘top-flight’ chefs.
Dishes include Maronesa beef, confit codfish, chickpea and green sauce salad, as well as a range of sweet treats. The menu, which will be rotated every two months, will be served on long-haul Business Class flights until April 2025.
Chefs Arnaldo Azevedo, André Cruz, Rodrigo Castelo, Carlos Afonso, Alexandre Silva and Rui Paula are set to deliver Portuguese cuisine as part of the airline’s Local Stars initiative in partnership with The Art of Tasting Portugal.
Each chef will produce an exclusive menu incorporating signature ingredients from their home region in Portugal.
Ricardo Dinis, Market Manager UK, Ireland and Nordics at TAP, said: “TAP is proud to reveal its tasty new range of delicious and diverse inflight dining options showcasing the very best of incredible Portuguese regional cuisine. From Maronesa beef to confit codfish, our premium passengers on long-haul flights can look in to tasting some of the very best of Portugal’s regional dishes, created by the country’s top-flight chefs.
“Whether our passengers are flying with TAP for the first time, or are frequent fliers, we want to present them with the country’s character through the depth and range of our fantastic flavoursome menus.”
