LATAM: A new Premium Business experience inspired by the flavours of South America

Could LATAM win Cabin Concept of the Year 2026?

Concept launched: April 2025

Elements: Interior Design / Comfort / CSR / Catering

The goal was to redefine LATAM’s Premium Business cabin by integrating a distinct design narrative inspired by South America. From materials and textures, to curves and colours, the concept aimed to provide true privacy and comfort, plus smart tech and soft elements, alongside signature hospitality rituals.

The whole would come together to elevate the journey while also offering responsible choices – lighter, durable, reusable materials; less single-use plastic and more efficient provisioning.

Interior Design

LATAM reimagined its Premium Business cabin as a holistic concept where design, functionality and identity meet to elevate the travel experience.

Inspired by the diversity, landscapes and beauty of South America, the new cabin pays homage to the region’s heritage and celebrates the continent.

The new Business seat is the first and only in the region with doors – which offers greater privacy, rest and comfort. Its design celebrates the region’s identity with honest materials like ‘granite’ tables inspired by the Andes, interior contours evoking Brazil’s sand dunes and copper accents that bring sophistication and authenticity. Technology complements the experience with 18-inch screens, individual charging ports and a flexible layout for privacy or communal travelling.

Service/crew

LATAM has a philosophy of care that begins before boarding and accompanies every moment of the journey. Rooted in the diverse, vibrant spirit of South America, the approach blends genuine warmth with precision and consistency. From the first smile at the door to attentive, proactive service inflight, the aim is to create meaningful human connections that anticipate needs. This ethos comes to life through thoughtful rituals – welcoming gestures, intuitive timing and a calm, confident delivery – all amplified by design elements that offer privacy, comfort and choice. Crews embody this identity with empathy and professionalism, transforming each interaction into an experience that feels elevated, personal and distinctly South American.

Comfort

In LATAM’s Premium Business, comfort is considered in every detail. Soft, breathable bedding with a proper duvet and a supportive pillow make real sleep possible, while tactile fabrics and finishes feel good from the first touch. Amenity kits focus on quality skincare that refreshes without fuss.

Adjustable lighting helps set the right mood for working, dining or winding down, and noise-minimising elements support a calmer space. Paired with a spacious lie‑flat seat, intuitive privacy with doors and easy access to storage and power, these soft elements come together naturally. The result is a cabin that feels restful when passengers want to disconnect, practical when they need to focus, and consistently comfortable throughout the journey. Comfort and rest are thoughtfully designed at every touchpoint: elegant, practical elements that elevate the journey throughout.

CSR

LATAM is world-leading in its reduction of single-use plastics onboard, pairing responsible design with measurable impact. In Premium Business, lighter, durable and reusable materials replace disposables; smarter provisioning reduces waste; and elegant, long-life tableware elevates service without excess. By rethinking cabin materiality and streamlining resources, the airline cut weight and CO2 per flight – proving world-class hospitality and environmental stewardship can advance together.

Catering

Gastronomy becomes a signature ritual. “Sabores que Transportan” and ‘Sabor à Brasileira’ programmes are celebrated gastronomic offerings designed to showcase the diversity and richness of South American cuisine. A new dish is added every three months, created by South American female chefs who are gaining recognition in their home countries, highlighting their local flavours and stories. These preparations are part of the menus in the Premium and Economy on long-haul flights departing from Chile, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. The programme strengthens the airline’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and a multicultural identity, while also adding value to local products across Latin America.
