Gategroup reveals festive menus

Gategroup has revealed new festive menus in partnership with Lufthansa, Aeromexico and SWISS.

Lufthansa will be serving Christmas menus in First and Business cabins on intercontinental flights until December 26. Those in Business class on all continental flights will be served until December 17.

All cabins will receive gingerbread treats, fresh clementines and a chocolate Santa Claus.

Passengers in First and Business can find a Christmas roast goose with sauce, red cabbage and potato dumplings until December 26. There will be cookies for dessert.

Aeromexico will dish out Christmas flavours in its Premier cabin on selected routes. All international flyers from Mexico City will receive a roasted turkey with gravy, rustic mashed potatoes, a Christmas stir-fry and caramelised Brussels sprouts.

Dishes with turkey, such as rolled turkey in apple sauce, will be available on all returns from Bogota and Lima. Flights from the USA and Rome will also focus on turkey.

Travellers on flights from London, Amsterdam and Paris will be served special desserts. Services from Madrid will offer a chicken stuffed with foie gras and raisins.

SWISS, meanwhile, will serve its festive menu on long-haul flights from Switzerland from December 18-31.

First class flyers will be treated to a beef wellington with Perigord truffle jus and glazed root vegetables.

Those in Business class will see a smoked duck breast and venison terrine with orange and pumpkin compote, roasted walnuts and celery salad.

Both First and Business passengers can find desserts featuring cinnamon and fruit compote.

Flyers in Premium Economy and Economy cabins will be served braised beef with red wine sauce, potato gratin with Sbrinz cheese and red cabbage with apple. There will be another cinnamon-spiced fruity dessert.
