Flying Food Group, the catering company founded by Sue Gin in 1983, has won several new contracts over recent weeks. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Flying Food Group operates kitchens across the US.
Nicolas Rondeau, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing at Flying Food Group, noted that it is a compliment when a customer who has experienced the company’s service chooses to expand with us for new locations.
“It is great to see new airlines coming into the US market, expanding their network with new US routes and trusting Flying Food Group for great service,” said Rondeau.
Flying Food Group began catering for Starlux flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Taiwan Taoyuan International (TPE) on April 26. Operated with A350 aircraft, it became the caterer’s first international long-haul route for Starlux.
On June 2, Flying Food Group began catering for ITA Airways at Dulles International Airport in Washington DC. That built on a longstanding relationship the two companies. Catering agreements have been in operation for several years at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York, Miami International Airport (MIA) and LAX.
The relationship between Flying Food Group and ITA Airways was further expanded on July 1, with catering at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Also at SFO, Flying Food Group started catering for Zipair on June 2. The catering company also provides its services to Zipair at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Hawaii and LAX.
In June, Flying Food Group started catering for Turkish Airlines at Newark Liberty International Airline (EWR) and O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago. Agreements have been in place between the companies at JFK, MIA and LAX for many years.
