Flying Food Group secures U.S. catering contract

Flying Food Group has been selected by Air New Zealand as its U.S. catering provider.

Services relating to the new partnership with Air New Zealand initially started at San Francisco International Airport and launched at the beginning of May at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, with catering for flights to Auckland.

The service will expand to Los Angeles International Airport on May 15 and Chicago will join the network in 2026.

Nicolas Rondeau, Executive Vice President of Airline Sales and Marketing at Flying Food Group, said: “This marks the beginning of an exciting new partnership with Air New Zealand. We are honoured to be chosen as their catering partner in the U.S.”

The catering company has also expanded its collaboration with Virgin Atlantic.

Last month, its San Francisco facility began a daily catering service for Virgin Atlantic flights from San Francisco to London Heathrow.

As part of an ongoing, long-term collaboration with Virgin Atlantic that first began in 2015, the caterer is also set to expand services to five additional U.S. gateways: New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando and Washington D.C. (Dulles).
