Emirates serves 45 million luxury chocolates

Passengers flying with Emirates consume 45 million luxury chocolates each year, the airline revealed.

Emirates rotates its chocolate offering every three months. Hotel Chocolat, Godiva and Pacari are some of the brands available.

Currently onboard, coinciding with World Chocolate Day on July 7, is French chocolatier Valrhona. A luxury chocolate box was created for First class passengers, which is offered after meals.

A new First class dessert trolley is also available in lounges, comprising Valrhona Grand Cru chocolate truffles with Jivara 40% and Guanaja 70% chocolate-coated madeleines, as well as crunchy milk chocolate cake with hazelnut praline and a roasted banana, chocolate and caramel cake.

Other desserts in First class include chocolate mousse with passionfruit, white chocolate tart, chocolate fondant with mascarpone cream, and a vegan chocolate pecan cake with whipped ganache.

Those in Business class and Premium Economy can try a vegan onyx avocado tart, a banana mango and milk chocolate dome or chocolate mocha marquise wedge drizzled in salted caramel.

Passengers in Economy can find a chocolate and orange mousse or a milk chocolate caramel cake with a dollop of raspberry coulis.

Lounges offer a white chocolate and passionfruit nectar cake, chocolate macarons and dark chocolate cake.

Zeyneb Larabi, Global Travel Retail Director at Valrhona, said: “Partnering with Emirates underscores our shared values of excellence, attention to detail and a commitment to creating unforgettable experiences. This collaboration goes beyond offering a delightful product, it creates lasting memories for passengers enjoying the Emirates experience.”
