Emirates’ new premium economy class began flying on August 1 on routes between Dubai, Paris Charles de Gaulle, London Heathrow and Sydney, bringing a new cabin class to the Middle East region.
Located at the front of Emirates’ A380 aircraft, the 56 premium economy seats are in the two-four-two layout.
The dining experience has been designed to incorporate elements inspired by Business Class. Customers are welcomed onboard with a welcome drink in fine glassware. The meal is served on Royal Doulton china and comes with stainless steel cutlery wrapped in a linen napkin. Menus feature seasonal ingredients and regional influences and beverage choices include premium wines and a sparkling Chandon wine. There are also liqueurs available after meals, with chocolates.
Customers receive sustainable blankets made from recycled plastic bottles, and a pillow. They also receive a complimentary amenity kit which comes in reusable, sustainable bags, and contains items which made with some element of recycled or sustainable materials.
The inflight entertainment system has been upgraded with a 13.3-HD TV, bluetooth earbud pairing, a higher-speed wifi service and in-seat charging ports.
