Caribbean Airlines has launched a new meals pre-ordering service for select
flights, and has expanded the menu choices offered to passengers.
The new offer is part of the airline’s ‘Reset Expectations’ campaign, designed
to enhance the passenger experience and includes a range of affordable
meals and snacks, priced $5 to $13, which can be bought at the time of
booking and up to 36 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Passengers booking an Economy Flex fare can pre-order meals at no
additional cost and Business Class meals remain inclusive. Passengers who
do not pre-order will receive a pre-packaged snack option onboard.
The menu includes authentic Caribbean options such as ‘Doubles’, street food
from Trinidad and Tobago, which consists of curried chickpeas in bara
flatbreads; two types of bake (bread) and fish – Coconut Roast Bake ‘n’
Saltfish and Maracas Bake ‘n’ Fish – and a dish of Stewed Chicken, Callaloo,
Macaroni Pie and Plantain.
Caribbean Airlines acting chief operations officer, Nirmala Ramai said: “2022
is all about re-calibrating what we do and offering our customers a revamped
experience. With the pre-order meal service, our customers can choose their
own meals from our range of sumptuous offerings.”
