ANA Catering Service to cater AirJapan

ANA Catering Service will cater the new hybrid medium-haul carrier AirJapan (AJX). The AirJapan brand was announced at the end of October 2020 and will be the third airline brand of the ANA Group after All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Peach Aviation.

AirJapan has launched flights to and from Southeast Asia, starting with the Narita-Bangkok route on February 9, 2024. This route flies six times a week using Boeing 787 Dreamliners. It has also been announced that Narita-Incheon will begin service on February 22, followed by Narita-Singapore on April 26.

The AirJapan cabin is designed to give a taste of Japanese quality, style and hospitality in a comfortable, spacious mono layout with 32-inch seats.

The AirJapan menu focuses on Japanese cuisine, including 13 selections. These include a Charcoal-Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl with Fluffy and Creamy Eggs, Salmon Teriyaki, Grilled Chicken Salad with Balsamic Dressing, a Sushi Box, and to accommodate Southeast Asian tastes, Green Curry (Vegan) and Halal options will be offered as well. All meals will mostly use environmentally friendly paper-based equipment and wooden cutlery.

Regional offerings include moist Baked Sweet Potato from Chiba Prefecture and Snow Carrot Juice from Niigata Prefecture as well as a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks.

AirJapan has set its sights on overseas markets to capture demand for leisure and travel for visiting family and friends in Southeast Asia, which is expected to drive growth in the global aviation market. Among these, the biggest target is inbound demand which is expected to steadily expand due to the strong promotion of inbound tourism by the Japanese government.
