Aer Lingus has installed ultra-fast free Wi-Fi powered by Starlink across its entire narrow body transatlantic fleet, meaning customers flying to more than 10 North American destinations can now stream and stay connected throughout their journey.
Destinations covered include Newark, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Nashville, Indianapolis, Hartford Connecticut and Raleigh-Durham. UK-based travellers can connect via Dublin from airports including Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Isle of Man, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Heathrow, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton.
Passengers travelling with Aer Lingus can also complete US Preclearance at Dublin Airport, one of only two airports in Europe to offer the service. This allows passengers to complete US immigration and customs checks before departure, meaning they arrive in the US as domestic passengers and avoid immigration queues at US hubs.
With the narrow body rollout complete, Aer Lingus engineering teams are continuing the installation across the airline’s remaining widebody A330 aircraft, expected to be finished by the end of 2026. The airline said customer feedback on the enhanced connectivity has been positive, with passengers connecting multiple devices and reporting Wi-Fi speeds equivalent to, or better than, what they get at home.
Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer, Aer Lingus, said: “Completing the Starlink rollout across our narrowbody transatlantic fleet is a significant milestone for Aer Lingus. Customers travelling on more than 10 North American routes can now enjoy fast, reliable connectivity throughout their journey, whether they’re working, streaming, or staying in touch with family and friends.”
