“A proper brew” onboard Jet2

Jet2.com has partnered with Yorkshire Tea and introduced the popular tea brand to its new inflight menu.

Jet2.com has been serving up Yorkshire Tea on all flights from its ten UK bases since November 1. The iconic hot drink will be available to buy onboard or offered as a hot drink option with pre-ordered adult meals.

Jet2.com’s new inflight menu has a number of other new additions, including Pizza Twists in two flavours – Margherita and Pepperoni.

For the first time, Jet2.com will also be launching a new Vegan and Gluten-Free Snack Box. Featuring Nairn Oat Cakes, Hummus, Tomato Dip, Love Corn and Hip Salted Caramel Chocolate, the new Snack Box will be available to buy onboard only.

The Ploughman’s Snack Box is also making a return. This includes classics like Jacob’s Cream Crackers, Branston Pickle, Applewood Cheese spread and Ilchester Cheese spread, plus Mini Cheddars.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com said: “We are delighted to be partnering with another Yorkshire company and offering even more choice to customers by adding Yorkshire Tea to our inflight menu. The partnership means that we are the first UK airline to offer Yorkshire Tea onboard, and we are sure that this new addition to our menu will delight customers looking to enjoy a tasty brew as they fly off on a getaway.

“We pride ourselves on delivering the very best customer service in every area, and that includes offering a wide selection of classic snacks, healthy food options, sweet treats, and refreshing drinks while customers jet away with us. We look forward to seeing Yorkshire Tea take to the skies and cannot wait for our customers to try the exciting choice on this new menu.”

Ben Newbury, Yorkshire Tea Marketing Lead, said: “Here at Yorkshire Tea, we want tea lovers to enjoy our brews anytime they like – including in the sky. We’re chuffed to be partnering with Jet2.com so passengers can enjoy a proper brew in the comfort of their seats, wherever they’re travelling.”
