PROS and IBS Software have announced a strategic partnership with the objective of helping airlines accelerate their transition to modern retailing through an interoperable offer and order management platform.
The collaboration brings together PROS’ Kairos Offer Management technology and IBS Software’s iRetail Order Management solution, creating an integrated platform designed to give carriers greater flexibility in how they modernise their retail operations.
According to the companies, the partnership offers an alternative to single-vendor retailing suites by providing a pre-engineered integration that reduces implementation complexity while allowing airlines to retain existing technology investments. The approach is intended to support carriers that want to adopt modern retailing capabilities without undertaking a wholesale replacement of their commercial technology stack.
By linking offer management and order management capabilities, the partners say airlines will be able to create more relevant and personalised traveller offers, improve commercial agility and drive stronger revenue performance.
Sunil John, Chief Executive Officer of PROS, said airlines increasingly want the freedom to modernise at their own pace while improving commercial outcomes. He said the partnership combines complementary offer and order capabilities within an open ecosystem, enabling carriers to accelerate retail transformation and unlock greater value throughout the retailing lifecycle.
Sunil John, Chief Executive Officer at PROS, commented: “Airlines want the freedom to modernise on their own terms while improving commercial performance. Our partnership with IBS Software brings together best-in-class Offer and Order capabilities in an open, interoperable ecosystem, helping airlines accelerate modern retailing, create more relevant traveller offers and capture greater value across the retailing lifecycle.”
Somit Goyal, Chief Executive Officer of IBS Software, said: “Airlines have been asked to choose between a single stack they cannot shape and a modular approach they have to assemble themselves. Our partnership with PROS is designed to change that equation. By bringing together two companies with a shared commitment to customer choice and innovation, we are creating a more open and practical path to modern retailing; one that preserves flexibility, accelerates transformation, and delivers stronger commercial outcomes.”
