Virtual reality mirror helps airlines select sleepwear

Linstol’s airline partners can now use a Virtual Reality (VR) Mirror to help them select inflight sleepwear.

The immersive technology, available at WTCE in Hamburg this week, allows airline buyers to digitally visualise and customise every detail of their sleepwear, save it to show to their peers, and then circle back to Linstol once a decision has been made.

The immersive tool brings garments to life in real time, transforming flat, 2D renderings into realistic, on-body previews.

Clients can choose from a selection of sleepwear styles, add their preferred trims, pant styles, colours, and then finish with their logo.

Once the style is created they can choose a preferred material from a wide range of fabrics.

Visualising the product early in the process can significantly reduce sample lead times and costs, says Linstol.

Nicky Upton, Global Director of Textiles, added: “We are incredibly proud to have embraced VR on our stand this year in the most immersive and collaborative way. This tech allows us to bring creations to life, beyond the hanger and into the hands of our clients to customise, which is an amazing opportunity.”

Linstol is at Booth 4E30 at WTCE 2025.
