Virgin Atlantic has introduced a selection of new beverages to its Upper Class service this summer, including English wine, a classic aperitivo and a wine packaged in aluminium.
The airline is now serving Bacchus from English producer Bolney Wine Estate, highlighting the growing quality and profile of English wine as part of its onboard beverage menu.
Virgin Atlantic has also introduced Aperol Spritz from Campari Group, bringing the popular Italian aperitivo to its Upper Class service as a seasonal summer option.
Meanwhile, the airline is continuing to trial Vinca Wine, a B Corp-certified wine brand, on selected routes to the US West Coast. The wine is packaged in aluminium, offering an alternative to traditional glass bottles while supporting Virgin Atlantic’s focus on testing new approaches to in-flight service.
Virgin Atlantic said mixing established producers with rising challenger brands keeps its onboard offer fresh while giving passengers a chance to try something new.
Shiada Drysdale, Manager Beverages at Virgin Atlantic, said: “Whether it’s championing English wine, introducing globally recognised favourites, or giving innovative start-ups a platform, we’re always looking for ways to surprise and delight our customers while keeping our offer fresh and relevant.”
