Skysupply partners with CleanHub

Skysupply has partnered with CleanHub to tackle plastic waste.

The Berlin-based start-up aims to prevent 17,000 kg of plastic waste a year from entering oceans. This is equivalent to 1.7 million plastic bottles.

CleanHub collects, sorts and recycles plastic waste from coastal areas and waterways in regions where people don’t have access to waste management systems.

The partnership will offer Skysupply “an additional tool to efficiently address plastic waste.”

Top priorities for CleanHub are preventing 50% of new ocean plastic by 2030 and taking action on land, rather than sea.

Currently, there are six waste management hubs in Indonesia, India, Tanzania and Cambodia.

Its app also documents plastic collection. Photos are uploaded at every stage and AI analysis will check weight, condition and GPS data.

Skysupply is set to introduce CleanHub’s sustainability mission at this year’s WTCE on May 29 in Hamburg.

Visitors can learn more about the new partnership from CleanHub’s VP Rory Dyer in hall A4, booth 4D30.
