ODE, a natural aperitif company, was available for tasting at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) in Hamburg earlier this month.
The Berlin-produced drinks benefit from a specially developed process for extracting essences wherein every ingredient – wood, plant or fruit – is extracted at the right moment to benefit from the fullest expression of its flavour.
There are two flavour options – lemon or ruby wood. Each can be mixed or drunk neat, being 18.5% alcohol.
The drinks are also notable for their unusual and fun packaging, featuring a small recycled glass bottle and brightly coloured wooden bottle top.
They are currently served as an aperitif on long-haul business flights on Discover Airlines.
The brand reflects Gen Z interests, which are moving away from wine and beer and towards cocktails.
