New tapas menu and wine list from P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises has introduced a new tapas menu and wine list crafted by two culinary experts.

The new menus will be served at the cruise line’s wine bar The Glass House by the end of the summer.

They were curated by two of P&O’s ‘Food Heroes’: Spanish chef José Pizarro and British wine expert Olly Smith.

Tapas dishes include grilled tiger prawns with a zesty mango salsa, seared Atlantic scallops and an Andalusian potato omelette served with a crisp red pepper salad.

The wine selection, meanwhile, features a Sussex-based fizz named Breaky Bottom, fruity A. Muse Rosé from Greece and Maturana’s scented orange wine from Chile. A host of low- and no-alcohol options will also be launched.

The new menus comprise “authentic, simple Mediterranean ingredients” with “some of the world’s finest and most interesting wines”.

Olly Smith said: “I have personally tasted and chosen every single wine on the new list to create a liquid treasure chest of choice, so there’s a wine to suit every taste and occasion.

“I’ve handpicked these gems from producers who are striving for the highest possible quality, so they go hand-in-hand with José’s Pizarro’s authentically delicious new tapas dishes. We can’t wait for the guests onboard P&O Cruises to taste their way around the world in The Glass House!”
