FTE adapts with new virtual events

Difficult times call for new ways of thinking and new ways to do business, so we are pleased to support our event partner, FTE, as they launch their FTE APEX Ancillary virtual event and a series of post-COVID brainstorming webinars.

Having successfully hosted webinars for its FTE Innovation & Startup Hub members since 2018, in the coming months the team will be taking this further and hosting webinars and virtual events for the entire industry to engage and collaborate at this pivotal moment in the air transport sector’s history.

The first two webinars will include insight from industry leaders on how the airport and cabin experience must be evolved quickly to restore consumer confidence, enhance operations, and prepare for the post-COVID-19 reality.

They will also include pitches from suppliers with unique solutions and visions for this new world in which air transport will need to comply with social distancing practices and deliver a more contactless, seamless, automated, sanitised and digitally powered travel experience.

Speakers confirmed include Rohit Talwar, futurist and CEO, Fast Future, Daniel Coleman, Founder & CEO, Future Travel Experience and Joe Leader, CEO, APEX & IFSA, with more to be announced.

The webinars entitled Post-Covid-19 Airports (Wednesday May 13 at 15.00 BST) and Post-Covid-19 Aircraft (May 20 at 15.00 BST) .

In addition on Thursday June 4, 15:00 BST, the team will hold its FTE APEX Ancillary virtual event including speaker contributions from airlines on how they are evolving their commercial approaches.

There will also be a chance to hear pitches from a series ancillary revenue suppliers who will present their latest products, services and visions, and respond to airline questions.

All these events and webinars will be completely free to attend for airlines and airports and $50 for vendors. Attendee places are limited. To book register .

APEX is also encouraging airlines to look to the future through a collaboration with Inmarsat Aviation to host a one-day online broadcast event.

Entitled #FlightPlan the digital event aims to bring together aviation experts, analysts and leaders to share insight and direction and share best practice and strategies at this challenging time. The event will take place on Wednesday 29 April 2020 from 9am – 4pm BST.
