FlightPath3D democratises inflight map control

New technology empowers manufacturers, completion centres and flight departments to independently enhance inflight map displays

FlightPath3D has launched a new configuration suite, BizAvStudio, designed to offer private jet owners maximum personalisation of their inflight map displays.

The suite unlocks direct access to map configuration details for aircraft manufacturers, completion centres, and flight departments, providing total control over the appearance and behaviour of maps onboard business aircraft.

“BizAvStudio is not a feature; it is a new operational model,” said Duncan Jackson, President of FlightPath3D. “Configuration is no longer something that happens once at delivery. It’s something operators own for the life of the aircraft.”

Historically, operators have been unable to fully modify the digital interfaces of inflight moving maps. BizAvStudio changes this by allowing users to edit branding, welcome screens, passenger information, map styling and geopolitical settings – all without software updates, engineering support, or vendor intervention. These changes can be implemented within minutes, even while the aircraft is in service.

“Owners and operators already control every element of the private jet cabin experience, from interior design to catering to connectivity,” added Howie Lewis, VP Business Aviation for FlightPath3D. “The inflight map was the last piece they couldn’t touch. That’s no longer the case.”
