Emirates is expanding its inflight entertainment offering with the launch of Dubai+, the first dedicated Emirati entertainment channel on its award-winning ice system.
The new channel will bring UAE-produced drama, comedy, documentaries, family entertainment and podcasts to Emirates’ global passenger base. It launches with 10 programmes, 35 episodes and more than 20 hours of content, including Dara, Wadima w Halema and Dannoun.
Featuring Dubai+ Originals alongside programming from Dubai TV and Sama Dubai, the collection will continue to expand with new titles and episodes, showcasing Emirati and regional storytelling.
Dubai+ joins more than 20 entertainment brands already available on ice, including HBO Max, Paramount+, Disney+, Bloomberg, Spotify, CBeebies, Nickelodeon, BBC, BBC Earth, BBC News, Sport 24, Sky News Arabia and CNN.
Emirates is also introducing ice Opera House, a curated collection of full-length opera, ballet and symphony performances. The collection includes productions such as Carmen, Don Giovanni, Madama Butterfly, Swan Lake and Cinderella, alongside performances of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Bach’s Mass in B Minor and John Williams: A Tribute. Selected operas will be available with subtitles in multiple languages.
The latest entertainment season also adds 43 new box sets to ice, alongside new film releases and a collection of remastered cinematic classics in 4K and HD. The airline’s library now includes more than 3,000 films and 4,500 TV episodes, with up to 6,500 channels of on-demand content available in more than 40 languages.
New movie titles arriving from October include Disclosure Day, The Sheep Detectives, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, Moana and Pressure, while the expanded box-set offering joins an existing library of 356 collections featuring titles including Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, The Night Manager, Bluey and Planet Earth.
Beyond film and television, ice offers music, podcasts, live news and sport, video games and learning content. Passengers can access uTalk language lessons across 15 languages, while live sporting coverage includes the Premier League, US Open, Formula 1, UEFA Champions League and DP World Tour.
The entertainment system is also being upgraded with next-generation features including 4K and 4K HDR displays, iceMoments short-form content discovery, eye comfort mode, enhanced live television, spatial audio and dedicated children’s features.
The developments come alongside Emirates’ rollout of Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi, with 55 aircraft currently equipped, and the progressive introduction of new-generation Bowers & Wilkins noise-cancelling First Class headphones, which are expected to be available across the majority of the fleet by the end of 2026.
