Cocohagen debuts at WTCE

Cocohagen, a producer of plant-based cocoa truffles, was present at New Exhibitor Village during the 2023 WTCE.

The company has its production facility in Humlebæk, approximately 34 kilometres (21 miles) north of Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital city.

Cocohagen’s products are organic and plant-based, containing no additives, palm oil or sugar. They are gluten-free, lactose-free and are an ambient product. The flavours available include Currant, Triple Organic, Hazel and Cocoa.

They are available in 10-gram and 20-gram sizes. Not yet aboard any airline, Cocohagen’s truffles have recyclable packaging.

“Every time we have the possibility of taking a better alternative, we will do so. When it comes to sustainability, we are 100% organic. We use recycled foil,” explains Asbjørn Diemer, who founded Cocohagen in 2015.

“We heard that 30 good leads from the exhibition was a good thing and we had over 40 good leads just yesterday, right from the largest companies in the world. We’ve just been blown away. Really rich meetings with a lot of context and details,” said Diemer, talking on the second day of WTCE.

He explained that the short lead times in producing Cocohagen mean a lead time of five business days for deliveries in Europe and 10 around the rest of the world.
