Burrana’s most advanced in-seat power supply system is now listed in the Airbus buyer-furnished equipment (BFE) catalogue as a selectable option for airlines specifying passenger power on the A320 family of aircraft. Two airlines, representing 170 aircraft, have selected RISE Power for linefit A320 and A321 aircraft.
This addition of the power supply system to the Airbus BFE catalogue is the result of the successful completion of hardware qualification testing requirements, Airbus’ approval of associated certification documentation and the successful delivery of the first aircraft into passenger service.
Burrana’s inclusion in the catalogue is regarded as a stamp of approval in line with the Airbus offerability process and compliance with Airbus requirements and specifications.
David Pook, Vice President of Customer Experience at Burrana, comments: “We are proud to reach this milestone and offer Airbus customers with an advanced technology alternative for in-seat power that supports the needs of passenger devices into the future. We welcome the opportunity to meet with any customers in the process of specifying a new A320 or A321 cabin to demonstrate our unique RISE Power solution.”
Burrana offers the lightest in-seat power solution on the market with seat-to-seat cables included. The USB seat box is the size of a mobile phone and weighs only 175 grams with a total system weight as low as 200 grams per seat. The company provides the only 15-watt USB-A solution on the market, enabling the fastest charging for passengers’ electronic devices.
