Botanical-infused water from Luxẅells

Luxẅells is set to upscale its presence and expand overseas.

The botanical-infused water brand, which was present at this year’s Speciality & Fine Food Fair in London, is looking to expand across retailers, aviation, train operators and hotels.

Plans to serve the overseas market were also prompted by interest from the Middle East, Asia, the US and Australia.

Luxẅells offers three core flavours: Hibiscus & Mint, Rose & Honey and Lavender & Pear. Sparkling versions and three new flavours are in the pipeline, using maple as an alternative to honey for the vegan market.

Founder and Director Kristal Baker was low on hydration following a difficult pregnancy and severe morning sickness. She found water to be “quite bland”, and cordial drinks to be high in sugar or reminiscent of “mild medicine”. Even flavoured water left an “odd after taste”.

“The luxury ingredient that I first thought of was roses and from there I started experimenting with a variety of edible flowers. My ideas mostly arise from flowers that I am interested in.

“I try to compliment my flowers with other flavours that are not fruit-based, which have been done many times before. This gives Luxẅells a point of difference,” she said.
