Anuvu announces Formula 1 agreement

Anuvu, the provider of high-speed connectivity and entertainment, has announced an agreement with Formula 1 to offer its aviation and maritime customers Formula 1-related content.

It means that Anuvu customers will have access to content including season reviews dating back to 1981. Shows such as Beyond All Limits, featuring the drivers Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen and documentaries including Vettel: More than a Champion.

A dedicated fan base

“With streaming services so readily available, travellers are constantly looking for new content and with Formula 1’s surging fan base, we feel this sport is a natural fit with our customers given that many people coordinate travel around the races,” said Estibaliz Asiain, Senior Vice President of Media and Content at Anuvu.

Formula 1 races are held in eighteen countries across five continents. The motorsport has a significant global reach and a dedicated fanbase.

The 2023 Formula 1 season concludes with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 26 and several of Anuvu’s clients are also among Formula 1’s partners.

Trialled in 2022

In 2022, Anuvu trialled Formula 1-related content with one of Asia’s largest airlines. Data showed it was the most-viewed entertainment in the airline’s portfolio during the trial period.

Anuvu says that the agreement demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing clients with an entertainment portfolio across diverse pillars of content, including traditional entertainment, short-form native digital, learning, wellness and environment, gaming, kids, and sports.

Cruise lines and airlines interested in adding Formula 1 content to their entertainment library from September 2023 can contact Anuvu to learn more.
