All Nippon Airways (ANA) has confirmed that its new Green Pokémon Jet will enter scheduled international service on 18 September 2026 as part of the airline’s celebrations marking 30 years of its partnership with Pokémon.
The specially liveried Boeing 787-9 is the second aircraft unveiled as part of ANA’s anniversary project, following the announcement of the Red Pokémon Jet earlier this year. The aircraft will operate on international routes through to March 2027, with flight assignments confirmed on the day of operation.
Alongside the new aircraft, ANA is expanding its collaboration with Pokémon GO. From 18 September, specially branded PokéStops and Gyms will appear at 14 airports across Japan, including Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Naha and Ishigaki, allowing travellers to take part in exclusive Timed Research and Raid Battles while travelling through the airports.
Players who participate in the collaboration will also have the opportunity to encounter Pokémon featuring a Green Pokémon Jet location background created exclusively for the partnership.
The Green Pokémon Jet forms part of ANA’s wider strategy to create memorable travel experiences for families and younger passengers through themed aircraft, digital experiences and destination partnerships.
ANA said further details about the aircraft’s routes and the wider Pokémon Jet programme will be announced through its dedicated anniversary website.
