Italian-based Airport Handling has commenced operations at Rome Fiumicino Airport.
The ground services provider, which is part of dnata, has secured a seven-year ground handling licence and invested more than €20 million in infrastructure and equipment.
Its ground support equipment is predominantly electric to deliver environmental efficiency.
Airport Handling will support the operations of nearly 70,000 flights annually for 22 airline customers with a team of over 2,100 aviation professionals in Rome.
The company’s ramp and passenger services are already in operation at Milano Malpensa Airport and Milano Linate Airport.
