Air India to roll out new amenity kits

Air India has unveiled a range of amenities to enhance its passenger experience onboard, including new amenity kits, fresh tableware and revamped bedding.

Designed for passengers on international long-haul flights, the airline’s new and enhanced features will be rolled out in mid-2024 when its A350-900 enters international commercial operations.

Amenity kits by Ferragamo

Those in First and Business class will receive amenity kits designed by Italian fashion house Ferragamo. Highlights include Ferragamo body lotion, hand cream, lip balm, socks, an eye mask and an Air India keepsake. Each kit is encased in a bespoke presentation bag with motifs celebrating various Indian printing styles. First class passengers can also enjoy an eau de parfum.

Both classes will have sustainable bed linen inspired by the airline’s new global brand identity. Passengers can find bespoke duvets and mattress toppers crafted with premium multi-layer material and a memory foam layer. The blankets are made from a premium wool blend, with a jacquard border and motif inspired by the traditional Sozni embroidery of Jammu and Kashmir.

Premium Economy and Economy passengers can find a twill weave cabin blanket, which is also designed to reflect the new brand elements.

TUMI in Premium Economy

Travellers in Premium Economy will receive a revamped amenity kit designed by TUMI. The kit will now incorporate Air India’s red hue and comes complete with skincare essentials by Swedish label Verso

Meanwhile, passengers in Economy flying on ultra-long-haul flights can enjoy an eye mask, socks and a hand lotion. These kits are made using premium quality recyclable and reusable kraft paper.

Those in First class will receive exclusive, copper-gold thalis for Indian meals. Premium Economy passengers can expect dishes served in lightweight melamine tableware with an etched mandala pattern on the side of plates, bowls and multi-purpose glasses.

Business class passengers can enjoy lead-free glassware from Slovakia and stainless-steel cutlery with weight-saving hollow handles.
