American Airlines updates F&B options

From February 1, passengers will be able to order American Airlines’ first inflight non‑alcoholic beer option as part of refreshed onboard food and drink offerings.

Athletic Brewing Company’s Free Wave Hazy IPA will be available to passengers, adding to Athletic’s non‑alcoholic offerings already served in the airline’s Flagship and Admirals Club lounges.

Other drink options are being added to the menu, including the Q MARGARITA MIX, which is paired with tequila to make the popular cocktail.

Q TONIC WATER and Q CLUB SODA will also be new to the menu, along with Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix and LaCroix Sparkling Water in Lime and Berry flavours.

Also from February, Economy passengers on select North American flights will be able to purchase a chicken salad and Boursin cheese wrap, served with coleslaw and a lemon shortbread cookie. It is available for $13 or 1,300 AAdvantage miles.

On US to international routes, new Premium Economy and Economy entrée selections include barbecue chicken with grits; beef fajita bowl; Hoisin chicken; chimichurri chicken; vegetable yakiniku noodles and honey mustard chicken.

New menu options for passengers travelling from the US to destinations in China, Japan and Korea in those cabins include orange chicken; Korean barbecue noodles with shiitake mushrooms; beef bibimbap; beef noodles; egg fried rice; scrambled egg, tomato compote, spinach and cheese; Dakdoritang braised chicken and vegetable yakiniku noodles.
