Volotea, the low-cost carrier based in Spain, has upgraded its onboard technology to enhance its retail operations.
Versilia Solutions, the onboard retail specialist managing Volotea’s inflight retail programme, has deployed a new retail and payment platform from MOST.
The rollout includes advanced point-of-sale (POS) software, integrated payment processing and custom smartphone-based hardware designed for cabin crew use.
The solution is agile and integrated, and improves operational efficiency and the crew experience.
The new platform is fully connected with Versilia’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, enabling real-time visibility and reconciliation across inventory, flight loading, onboard sales and payments.
“We were looking for a tech provider that could deliver fast implementation and seamless integration with our systems, and MOST delivered on those priorities. This upgrade brings greater transparency, better tools for the crew, and the operational control we need to continue driving performance for Volotea. It’s an important step forward for the retail programme,” said Caroline Ulbrich, CEO of Versilia Solutions.
Jan Blanchard, CEO of MOST, said: “Our mission is to make onboard retail and payments simple, reliable and scalable and launching this solution in record time proves what’s possible when the right team and technology come together.”
