Talent spotting

May 1, 2019

Few things matter more in the onboard hospitality sector than securing the right people to grow and develop your business. Recruitment companies can help but expert knowledge and true understanding of your sector are key.

Now there’s a new place for help with this. Here! Onboard Hospitality is now working with industry recruitment stalwart Roy Wilson, of Sterling Bridge, and Mike Pooley and Lance Hayward from The Hayward Partnership (THP), to create a hub for recruitment and professional development. We’ll be raising the profile of vacancies available across our sector and supporting executive search and career development. If you have advice to share or vacancies to promote, do get in touch.

Recruitment expert Roy has worked in this area for over 20 years connecting job seekers and new opportunities across rail, airlines and airports, within caterers, onboard retailers and suppliers industry-wide. He and his colleagues in The Hayward Partnership will now share their wisdom and recruitment advice through Onboard Hospitality’s Vacancies tab, online, and in print supporting industry-wide coaching and executive search requirements.

Roy Wilson explains:”Sterling Bridge has a long history in executive recruitment and business solutions for the onboard service and I am thrilled to see this evolve this year in collaboration with The Hayward Partnership. As professionals with in-depth experience across the industry, we understand how to recruit the right people for the job, and motivate a team to achieve goals faster and more efficiently. It is going to be an exciting year. Watch this space!”

Mike Pooley adds:”The onboard sector has a high demand for talented people who understand the complexity of the business and are up for the challenge. Matching the right people to the right positions has been Roy’s passion and Lance and I are excited to build on that for the future.”

Julie Baxter, Onboard Hospitality editor, says: “We all know people are the heart and soul of this industry and we are pleased to play a role in supporting this initiative. Do contact me if you have vacancies to share or recruitment advice and information you’d like publicised. This is a great development of our mentoring activities and one we hope the industry will find useful and inspiring. Do check back here for more recruitment and professional development features coming soon!”
