United Airlines has introduced a dedicated inflight entertainment channel featuring content from NBCUniversal’s streaming home, Peacock. It brings popular series onboard and gives passengers greater choice and flexibility in how and what they watch while flying.
United has more than 800 planes equipped with Bluetooth-enabled seatback screens, and the new channel is available across more than 160,000 seatback screens and on personal devices via the United mobile app. New Peacock originals will be added regularly.
Select episodes of the shows available on the May 1 launch included The Traitors (Season 4), All Her Fault, The Paper and Poker Face.
Episodes from additional series, including The Copenhagen Test and Ponies, are expected to roll out in June.
The Peacock channel builds on United’s continued investment in its inflight entertainment experience. The library includes more than 450 movies, over 1,000 TV episodes plus more than 100 international titles and over 140 hours of podcast content.
Dominic Green, Director of Inflight Entertainment at United Airlines, said: “Entertainment plays a central role in the onboard customer experience, and we’re continuing to expand both the quality and variety of what’s available.
“With these popular series from Peacock, we’re introducing a standout lineup of widely recognised series to our seatback screens and personal device entertainment, further strengthening our premium inflight entertainment offering and giving customers more engaging ways to spend their time in the air.”
