Tourvest Retail & Catering has appointed Michael Raasch as its new Chief Growth Officer.
Raasch brings with him two decades of experience across travel, aviation, digital commerce and technology to compliment his role at the travel services specialist.
He is stepping over from ancillary revenues solutions provider Omnevo, where he was CEO and Co-Founder, and led the construction of its multichannel ancillary revenue platform.
In his new role at Tourvest, Raasch will be concentrated on driving sustainable growth across all divisions, using data, technology and customer insight.
Raasch has previously held senior leadership roles at Lufthansa Group, LSG Group, Virgin Atlantic, and AOE Group, where he led large-scale commercial, product and digital transformation initiatives.
Clive Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Tourvest Retail & Catering, said “Michael brings a rare combination of deep aviation, onboard catering and travel retail expertise, proven growth leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset.
“His experience in building and scaling technology-enabled platforms, combined with his understanding of the end-to-end traveller journey, makes him ideally suited to lead the next phase of growth across our portfolio.”
Raasch said: “Tourvest’s breadth across travel retail, catering, logistics and technology is truly unique. The opportunity to build on a holistic understanding of travellers and translate that into scalable, data-driven growth is incredibly compelling.”
Launched in 1997, Tourvest recently announced a series of acquisitions across Africa, Europe and the Caribbean.
