The Live TV solution is an over-the-top service that works with any inflight entertainment (IFE) system, connectivity provider and with personal electronic devices (PEDs).
With live content and event-based programming, 360Stream promises to redefine television in mid-flight with the industry’s first Digital Video Recording (DVR) capability.
With it, airlines can record content as it is streamed live and give passengers the ability to play, pause, rewind or skip to live – just like they would at home.
360Stream delivers the industry’s highest streaming quality, managing bandwidth that can be enhanced for major live events. It delivers a consistent TV experience across fleets, even with various IFE providers.
Passengers can access content on their PEDs without downloading an application.
Partners include BBC News, CNN and EuroNews. Airlines can include their own partners within three days.
