SWISS extends chocolate partnership with Delica

SWISS has extended its chocolate partnership with Delica for three more years.

The partnership, which will be extended from early April, continues the supply of complimentary SWISS Schöggeli milk chocolate bars on all services.

Delica-owned chocolate brand Frey has been supplying the pre-landing treats since 2015. The bars are made with cocoa certified by the Rainforest Alliance.

SWISS Schöggeli is also produced in seasonal editions for occasions such as Christmas and Easter.

The airline’s cabin crew handed out 19.3 million bars to passengers last year.

Heike Birlenbach, Chief Commercial Officer at SWISS, said: “Switzerland is famed the world over for its chocolate. So with us being a Swiss airline, our ‘SWISS Schöggeli’ are not just a delight: they’re also a tradition, and a little piece of Switzerland aloft. And I’m very pleased that we can now continue to offer our inflight guests this top-quality Frey chocolate treat.”

Daniel Meier, Head of Key Account Management Business Unit Food at Delica, added: “We are proud to extend our collaboration with SWISS for a further three years.

“For us, this is a confirmation of the consistently high quality of the product and service we provide. We look forward to continuing to treat SWISS travellers from all over the globe to our chocolates.”
