Qantas to launch French-inspired products

Qantas is set to launch French-inspired pyjamas, amenity kits and menus following the airline’s new flights to Paris.

The onboard items will complement Qantas’ direct Perth-Paris service, which is set to launch on July 12.

Limited-edition pyjamas with matching amenity kits will be available to Business class passengers travelling on the route.

Australian designer Martin Grant crafted the navy pyjamas, which showcase the journey between Australia and France.

Passengers can also look forward to a host of classic French dishes from Qantas’ Creative Director of Food, Beverage and Service, Neil Perry.

Highlights include bouillabaisse of snapper and Skull Island prawns; pithivier of chicken and tarragon with onion puree; and chocolate mousse with caramel poached pears, almonds and Chantilly cream.

A French 75 cocktail made of gin, lemon and sparkling wine will also be on offer in Business class.

Additionally, passengers visiting the airline’s First and Business lounges throughout Australia can enjoy crème caramel and goat cheese salad with walnut vinaigrette.

Catriona Larritt, Chief Customer and Digital Officer at Qantas Group, said: “Our new direct Perth to Paris flights will cut around three hours off the current fastest travel time between the two cities and are shaping up to be really popular, particularly during the busy summer months.

“We know how much our passengers love our signature pyjamas and relaxing with a drink and meal when they fly with us, so we’re excited to launch these bespoke initiatives to give them a taste of the city of light before they land.”
