American Airlines has opened the Provisions by Admirals Club lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in North Carolina.
The lounge has a grab-and-go concept and is the first of its kind for American.
Named in honour of Ben Elbert Douglas Sr., a former mayor of the city, the airport is one of American’s largest hubs.
Located in Concourse A, next to gate A1, the lounge is designed for speed, simplicity and convenience.
It offers quick access to personalised service as well as fresh food and drink options. The space is designed to allow customers to come and go with ease, and vegetarian options are available at all hours.
Breakfast is served daily from 6.15 to 11.00 a.m. and features light bites including pastries, snack mixes, yoghurt and fruit. More substantial breakfast meal boxes are also available.
All-day offerings are served between 11 a.m. and 10:45 p.m., including savoury snacks, sweet treats and meal boxes.
A beverage station allows travellers to grab canned and bottled beverages to take on their journey. Coffee and tea are also available.
Heather Garboden, Chief Customer Officer at American Airlines, said: “We’re excited to open this new lounge space for our customers at CLT. Millions of customers travel through CLT on American every year and the Provisions by Admirals Club lounge is focused on providing those customers with an easy and convenient solution during their travel journey.”
