Pain de Minuit, a brewer that takes discarded bread rolls and turns them into beer, has made its debut at the World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Exposition in Hamburg.
An award-winning French brewery that is already stocked on Eurostar, Pain de Minuit sees its role as being both a premium innovation and a powerful communication tool around sustainability.
The brewer collects unsold bread from airlines and railway caterers and turns it into craft beer of the alcoholic and non-alcoholic variety, in stylish bottles.
Pain de Minuit collects recoverable bread waste — either directly from the airline or railway or from industrial bakery partners — and then replaces up to 30% of brewing cereals with it.
The firm can be found in the New Exhibitor Village at WTCE on stand 1B106.
