Designer Brandon Blackwood has created amenity kits exclusively for American Airlines. They become the latest amenity kits to join American’s series of limited-edition kits.
The Blackwood designs follow a Raven and Lily red, white and black kit in partnership with Stand Up To Cancer, which helped the airline and its passengers raise more than $4.3 million for the charitable organisation.
The Blackwood-designed amenity kits will be on select American flights from later this month until early September.
Premium cabin customers on international and select transcontinental flights will find one of the complimentary amenity kits at their seats.
A compact travel version of Blackwood’s Portmore handbag, featuring the same structured design in denim and wraparound zip closure, will be at Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats.
A travel pouch will be at Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats. The black version of the kit features red accents along the zip closure and Blackwood’s chequered pattern on the interior
Premium Economy passengers will receive a kit with Blackwood’s chequered pattern on the exterior in blue and white.
Heather Garboden, Chief Customer Officer at American Airlines, said: “Brandon’s bold, fashion-forward designs are the perfect addition to our amenity kit collection, especially as we see our premium customers skewing younger, which is in line with Gen Z investing in luxury items and experiences.”
“From the designers we partner with to the brands we feature on board, American is committed to giving travellers something new to discover and explore well before they get to their destination,” continued Garboden.
