Air Astana has revealed details of its new children’s amenity kits in partnership with Kaelis.
The airline is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and with these kits aims to bring aviation history to young travellers with a fun twist.
Children aged 3-6 will receive a Magic Carpet Kit, consisting of a bag that unfolds into a picnic carpet for them to use with family and friends post-flight. It also includes a selection of activities related to the early days of aviation to keep them entertained onboard.
Older kids aged 7-11 will receive a retro Pilot Aviator Kit, with a bag big enough to be reused for school. Both kits have a pair of headphones for children to enjoy the entertainment onboard, and use after the flight.
Air Astana will also present the two age groups with a comfortable, brightly-coloured ‘Future of Travel’ backpack. Smaller children will receive a neck pillow to sleep comfortably on the flight, and older children will get an additional detachable mobile pouch and sunglasses. Both sets are equipped with fun and educational activities that tap into the importance of family in the Kazakh culture.
The materials for these kits have been chosen with the environment in mind. The reusability of these bags was an integral part of the design, with sustainability a priority throughout the whole design process.
The aviation history set is made with natural canvas material, whilst the future of travel is made with recycled plastic waste from landfills.
Additionally the bags come with a QR code that explains a little bit more about the history of aviation in an entertaining way through a short video, as well as a video about Air Astana in the Skies for 20 years.
“The team at Kaelis was thrilled to accompany Air Astana in the development and production of these magnificent kits, in line with their Mission ECO and improving travel experience,” a spokesperson from Kaelis said.
