American Airlines is phasing in new interiors on regional aircraft. The changes will also see the introduction of power at every seat and fast, reliable onboard Wi-Fi.
American currently has high-speed satellite Wi-Fi on nearly 300 regional aircraft. That will be expanded to the full dual-class regional fleet by early 2026. Complimentary Wi-Fi for AAdvantage members will be introduced in January.
Newly delivered Embraer 175 and Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft will have modern cabin features. Seat coverings will mirror the look and feel of the mainline fleet, providing consistency.
The new regional interior will also be retrofitted to all the CRJ700, CRJ900, E170 and E175 aircraft operated by American’s regional carriers.
The airline has streamlined onboard snack offerings to create a more consistent experience across both mainline and regional flights. Passengers in premium cabins on regional flights can enjoy a midday snack basket to complement the morning and evening snack baskets, ensuring uniform service throughout the network.
For customers who prefer to travel with a carry-on suitcase, American is working with Embraer to develop and design larger overhead bins for its regional aircraft.
