Longbottom & Co. has appointed Alexander Jeffreys as Group CEO as it sets its sights on rapid expansion in the US and UK.
Previously Sales Director, Jeffreys is responsible for significant growth in the air and the UK. Longbottom is looking to replicate this growth in the US by increasing foodservice, retail and on-premise presence.
With over a decade’s experience driving growth for premium drinks businesses, including Sipsmith and Sacred Spirits, he also has a strong hospitality and business pedigree.
His uncle opened the legendary Joe Allen restaurant in Covent Garden in 1977 and his family have owned and run luxury interiors house Designers Guild since 1970.
As Sales Director he has already produced rapid expansion in the sky. Longbottom recently announced flagship customer British Airways has doubled its order volume, one of more than 10 global airlines to serve its Virgin Mary mix at altitude.

Jeffreys said: “This new role signals my commitment and excitement for the opportunity we have here – to bring the first truly premium spiced tomato juice to everyone. We want to reach as many airline passengers as we can and be available to them on the ground when they get home and order or make a Bloody Mary.
“I joined Longbottom because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to turn a dusty, forgotten category into a premium one and mix things up with the only Bloody Mary mix that’s made with real juice.”
Ed Bathgate, Founder of Longbottom, said: “Alexander is next generation talent in the world of drinks. As bright and tenacious as they come. We are lucky to have him and his ambitions truly match those of the business. I’d usually say the sky’s the limit but he’s already had great success there. His focus now is broadening Longbottom’s footprint on the ground on both sides of the Atlantic.”
