Finnair is set to redesign the interiors of its Embraer 190 fleet.
The airline’s regional E190 aircraft will receive a new cabin design from early 2024 into 2025. Highlights include new seats and curtains.
Finnair aims to incorporate its new ‘Nordic design language’ and the ‘warm, comforting colours’ seen throughout the cabins of its long-haul aircraft and non-Schengen lounges in Helsinki.
Passengers will be able to experience the airline’s refreshed cabins on select Embraer flights from late 2024, with 12 aircraft predicted to be refurbished by 2025.
The investment comes after Finnair’s €200 million long-haul product renewal including new Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class cabins.
Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair, said: “We want to improve travel comfort and provide our passengers with a high-quality travel experience across our route network. We will bring similar elements and feeling to our Embraer fleet as we have used in our previously redesigned Airbus wide-body aircraft.”
Finnair’s Embraer aircraft fly to domestic and European destinations such as Rovaniemi, Dublin and Edinburgh.
