National Airlines, the Orlando-based charter carrier, has selected Viasat inflight connectivity for its new fleet of three Airbus A330 aircraft.
The airline’s Airbus A330 aircraft have been equipped with the GM-40 terminal, which intelligently routes data across Viasat’s high-capacity Ka-band satellite network to deliver consistent, reliable performance throughout flights.
The high-performance connectivity facilitates streaming high-definition video and using powerful AI tools on multiple devices at the same time. Crew benefit from real-time flight updates and enhanced communication with ground teams.
The system is designed to ensure a superior quality of connection for passengers today, while also being highly scalable and forward-compatible with Viasat’s upcoming network enhancements — including the addition of new ViaSat-3 satellites planned to enter service this year and future multi-orbit capabilities.
Christopher Alf, Chairman of National Airlines, said: “We are now excited to partner with Viasat to leverage its proven expertise and cutting-edge technology, enabling us to offer a more personalised, seamless and connected in-flight experience for our customers.”
Don Buchman, President of Viasat Aviation, said: “National Airlines has a strong reputation for delivering premium, highly tailored charter missions and we’re proud to support that vision with our advanced inflight
connectivity.
“We match the agility of charter aviation with a global network designed for flexibility. Whether mission profiles change or demand shifts, our high-capacity solutions ensure reliable, high-quality performance
tailored to the specific requirements of any flight operation. It is also scalable and future-ready, keeping National Airlines ahead of evolving demands for passenger and operational connectivity,” continued Buchman.
