LOT Polish Airlines has started to roll out Wi-Fi on its long-haul fleet in partnership with Viasat.
The service is now available on the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and will be extended to two more by the end of April.
“Internet access has become an expected part of the offering on long-haul flights,” said Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of Product Development and Customer Experience Office at LOT Polish Airlines.
“Therefore, we view its implementation across our fleet as a natural stage in the development of our product, one that responds to the needs of passengers – both those travelling for business and for leisure.”
As part of the offer, the carrier provides access to two paid packages: Chat ($7), for instant messaging, and Streaming ($29), which allows passengers to browse websites, watch videos and work online.
Complimentary internet access is available to Business Class passengers and members of the Miles & More programme from select airlines, provided they enjoy specific statuses – regardless of travel class.
