Korean Air’s redesigned Miler Club and Prestige East Lounge have opened at Incheon International Airport. Following the opening of two new Prestige Garden lounges, that completes the first phase of the flag carrier’s lounge renewal project.
Hotel-style lobbies welcome guests into zones for dining, meetings, relaxation and wellness.
The new Miler Club and Prestige East Lounge feature open kitchens where guests can watch chefs preparing seasonal signature dishes. Chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon prepare dishes on-site, at live cooking stations, bringing an interactive dining element to the lounge experience.
The buffet includes a bakery and a salad bar, Korean cuisine and Western dishes.
Lounge visitors can eat the likes of handmade pizzas, freshly baked pastries and chef-carved beef. The Korean specialities available include the likes of freshly rolled gimbap made with premium local ingredients, janchi guksu (banquet noodles) and a noodle bar serving tteokguk (rice cake soup).
Cocktails are mixed by a dedicated bartender while a barista prepares coffees in the Miler Club.
Guests can relax in a wellness area with massage chairs, work in a tech zone for device use and hold meetings in a meeting room with a large conference screen. Spacious shower facilities offer private powder rooms and premium amenities.
Hanok-inspired architectural elements are integrated into the design of the interiors, blending a traditional Korean aesthetic with modern luxury in a palette of gold, charcoal, black and ivory.
The Prestige Garden East Lounge overlooks a traditional Korean-style outdoor garden. Meanwhile, the Prestige Garden West Lounge provides views of a modern Western Garden.
The lounge renewal is part of the airline’s infrastructure investment ahead of full integration with Asiana Airlines. The objective is to ensure sufficient capacity and premium service for the combined passenger base.
On completion, Korean Air’s total lounge space at Incheon will expand from 5,105 to 12,270 square metres. The total capacity will increase from 898 to 1,566 seats.
